Who we support
Challlenging outdoor and indoor programmes.
A variety of all year round programmes are supported by the Adventure Sailing Trust to encourage young people living in deprived areas to take part in character building and teamwork activities. The work of the Adventure Sailing Trust is carried out on an all-voluntary basis and is now into it's fortieth year. The original vessel was the schooner 'Raf' of fifty-three feet in length with crews aged between twelve and sixteen years of age returning each month to live and work on board. A small book titled 'Laugh with Raf' at £4.00 plus postage and an art print fourteen by twelve and a half inches at £14.00 plus postage is available with the book written by the Skipper relating to the anecdotes of the 'crew' while on board. Crew members included partially blind and handicapped youngsters.
